Today is Thursday. It is rainy and a little humid. We turned the air conditioner off anyway because I was starting to feel like I was living in a refrigerator. I’d rather feel a little humidity and breeze than like I’m locked inside my refrigerator, oops, house. I’m counting the hours till I drop in on Eliot. He has a Dr’s appt in Clifton and I’m going to stop by at the end of it and take him cookies. He’s been working at camp all week and is going right back there, so I haven’t seen him. After having him home for a month we’ve gotten used to having him around. This separation stuff is hard and I don’t particularly like it.  But, I do think it is good for him. I hope he doesn’t mind I’m dropping cookies off. I’m starting to feel like one of those ‘clingy’ Moms. I definitely never thought I’d be one of those… ‘what ever will be, will be. The future’s not ours to see’ Someone please tell Doris Day to shut up. She has been singing in my head and I’m a little sick of her.

Now I want to practice making a list. So since Eliot is on my mind, let’s make a list of his best attributes:

1. He is extremely handsome. Though not always perfectly groomed, he has great features.
2. He is so photogenic. I think one of my sisters was truly shocked when she saw his Senior photos
3. He is very, oh so very intelligent. Unfortunately, this was not always known to people around him if school work was expected from him.
4. He is kind
5. He is good and good hearted
6. He doesn’t really care for people who are mean or mean spirited. He finds it unnecessary
7. He loves his family and appreciates us
8. He loves Bailey
9. He is kind, and smart
10. I love him.
11. OMG, I forgot to mention his sense of humor! How could I do that??? He is so funny with a finely developed sense of humor. He loves political humor, satire, dry wit and just out and out screw-ball, sophomoric humor.

Is it time to go buy those cookies yet?
